Studio Bank, a bank founded in Nashville in 2018, plans to open a new corporate office and retail branch in Cool Springs in June or July, according to an announcement.

The new office, which the announcement called “HQ2,” will be led by Studio Bank Chair Aaron Dorn and will include more than 10,000 square feet with an initial staff of 35 commercial, mortgage and retail bankers; operations team members; and executives, according to the announcement.

The new office will be located in the McEwen Building at 1550 W. McEwen Drive, Franklin, according to the announcement. The space will also expand the bank's services into medical and dental practice banking, according to the announcement.

“The role that a local bank plays within a community is critically important,” Dorn said in a statement. “Since our inception, we have always sought to offer the sophistication of a big bank and the personal service level of a local bank. Williamson County has also always been a part of the Studio Bank journey, with our founders, team members, and clients here since the bank’s earliest formation. We look forward to continuing to serve creators from our new location in Franklin.”

When it was founded in 2018, Studio Bank was Nashville’s first newly chartered de novo bank in more than a decade, a designation that involves state and federal financial regulators overseeing their operations for stability, according to news reports.

The bank has grown more quickly than expected, Dorn said in a statement. It achieved profitability during its second full year of operation and had $662 million in assets as of March 31.

“We are investing in Williamson County because it is our home, and it is a vibrant community that continues to play an integral part in the culture, prosperity, and business ecosystem of Middle Tennessee,” Dorn’s statement said. “We are stepping up our existing services with a physical location and executive support to fill a need that we know exists.”
