Corner Pub held a grand opening Jan. 4 in the Cool Springs area at 9200 Carothers Parkway, Ste. 100, Franklin, in the former location of Franklin Abbey.

Volunteer Bank to open location in Cool Springs

Volunteer State Bank will open a new location in February in the Cool Springs area at 101 International Drive, Ste. 100, Franklin, in the former location of First Advantage Bank.

Perry's Steakhouse & Grille will open Franklin location Feb. 18

The first Tennessee location of Perry's Steakhouse & Grille will open in Franklin on Feb. 18, according to an announcement from the eatery.

Chrysalis Modern Italian now open in Cool Springs

The full-service, casual dining space offers Italian classics, such as saltimbocca, osso buco and bruschetta, as well as an antipasti menu, a wine list and house cocktails.

Culaccino Italian Restaurant + Bar now open in Franklin

Culaccino Italian Restaurant + Bar opened Jan. 8 in Harpeth Square at 104 E. Main St., Franklin.

The eatery, headed by Executive Chef Frank Pullara, offers wood-fired pizzas, house-made pastas and other Italian dishes.

New hotel Tru by Hilton now open in Cool Springs

Tru by Hilton opened its newest location in Cool Springs in late January at 1001 Knoll Top Lane, Franklin.


Farm Fresh Vintage on Columbia Avenue now The Blue Cardinal

Fresh Farm Vintage, located at 1911 Columbia Ave., Franklin, announced in November it has rebranded to become The Blue Cardinal.


New boutique Valentine House now open in Westhaven in Franklin

Valentine House opened in early January at 1012 Westhaven Blvd., Franklin.

The boutique, located near the intersection of Front Street and Westhaven Boulevard, offers a selection of home decor and gifts, including candles, lamps, furniture and other accessories.

WCS Superintendent Jason Golden said that while many districts have seen numbers drop due to the coronavirus pandemic, he expects enrollment will rise again, which means new campuses will still be needed in the future.
