As the region gears up for a return to in-person events and activities, the city of Franklin has approved two major events for later this year.

The Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen unanimously approved April 13 event permits for the annual Pilgrimage Music & Cultural Festival and Bourbon and Bubbles.

The Pilgrimage Festival will return after canceling events for 2020 with a two-day event Sept. 24-26 at The Park at Harlinsdale Farm. Ticket and music lineup information is expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

Bourbon and Bubbles is a new event held by iHeart Media that will also take place at the Park at Harlinsdale Farm on May 22. The event will feature live music as well as beer, wine and spirit tastings. More information about the event can be found here.
