A new mural is coming to the west side of Franklin near Del Rio Pike and Hillsboro Road

During its Aug. 11 meeting, the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen approved 7-1 a mural to be painted on the site of the former Judge Beans restaurant at 509 Hillsboro Road, Franklin.

The project will be privately funded by Urgent Team, an urgent care clinic now located on the site, according to application paperwork submitted to the city.

The postcard-style mural will read "Greetings from Franklin," with each letter representing a historic highlight from the city.
