Williamson County Fair to close out 2019 season with live music, fireworks

This weekend marks the final two days of the Williamson County Fair. Take a look below at some the activities planned for the fair's last weekend.

Live music
Musicians will take the stage Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday at noon. Performances on Friday include Foxfire Newgrass Band, Jack Daniel and The Hard Lickers, and Mike Oldham and The Tone Rangers. Macy Tabor and Larry Chunn and Step Ahead play on Saturday.

Entertainment
Performance from BMX Trickstars, Chainsaw Artist Roark Phillips, Jurassic Kingdom, Lady Houdini, Piccolo Zoppe Circus, Robocars and the XPogo Stunt Team will continue with two shows each on Friday, according to a release from the Williamson County Fair. See more activities here.

Fireworks
A fireworks show will begin at 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Rides and midway activities
Unlimited midway rides from 6 p.m.-midnight can be purchased for $25 on Friday, and from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. for $25 or from 10 a.m.-midnight for $35 on Saturday. All ride specials must be purchased by 4 p.m. on Saturday.

Special events
The fair will close out this year with Patriot Day on Saturday, during which all active and retired military members with an ID will receive free admission to the fairgrounds.

Livestock competitions and demonstrations
Students will showcase livestock during the fair, and a commercial ewe show will be held Friday beginning at 7 p.m. Attendees can also catch a live milking demonstration in the Lee Company Livestock Event barn and a honey-extraction demonstration in the arena.
