Consignment shopping, skate night: 4 things to do in Franklin and Brentwood this weekend

There are multiple opportunities to support a charity at an event in Williamson County this weekend, or you can just go skating. Here are some local things to do this weekend.

Aug. 16-19: Consignment sale at The Factory
All weekend long, there will be a consignment sale at The Factory, featuring more than 30,000 items. The sale is open 7-9 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, 3-8 p.m. and Sunday, 9 a.m.-noon. Aug. 17: Find your Fit Franklin
Support St. Jude at this outdoor fitness event, which also features a 5K run. Various types of outdoor fitness classes will be offered. $30. 7:30-noon. 6100 Tower Circle, Franklin. See more here.

Aug. 18: Franklin Dinner
Hosted by Path Project, this dinner will benefit the academic nonprofit, which helps kids in mobile home parks by operating community centers. $50. Williamson County Enrichment Center, 110 Everbright Ave., Franklin. 678-439-9316.

Adult night at the Brentwood Skate Center

TDOT: No lane closures during Thanksgiving holiday weekend, Nov. 27-Dec. 2

To help cut down on travel delays during the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday, the Tennessee Department of Transportation announced Nov. 25 it will pause all lane closure activity on interstates and state highways.
