Owners Dennis and Thelma Ubeda opened The Wheel Kitchen, located at 25510 Zion Lutheran Cemetery Road, Tomball, on Oct. 5. The farm-to-table cafe serves healthy food options ranging from paninis to pasta dishes. Menu offerings change according to what ingredients are available locally each day. "We're trying to offer a small menu, farm-to-table, so we buy the produce and [offer] basically whatever is in season from our farmers," Dennis said. Breakfast and lunch is served daily, and dinner is offered Thursday and Friday evenings. Organic coffee and tea are also available. The eatery is a brick-and-mortar offshoot of Fresco Foods, a farmers market vendor in The Woodlands, Rice University area and Galveston, run by Thelma.
