Glade Arts Foundation opening pushed to March, board of directors appoints new members

Glade Arts Foundation will open in March in the former location of The Woodlands Information Center, at 2000 Woodlands Parkway, The Woodlands. Founded by Glade Gallery owner Dragos Tapu, the nonprofit works to provide accessible fine arts experiences with art education, scholarships, public art projects and exhibits.

The foundation’s board of directors also recently announced that two new members were appointed to the leadership team, effective Jan. 1. Those new members include Elisabeth Stavinoha, who will serve as executive director, and Cynthia Reid, who will serve as director of education.

The new building will house a permanent collection of Houston-based painter and sculptor David Adickes as well as temporary exhibits by local and international artists. The building was originally slated to open in November. 832-557-8781.
