Originally launched in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1984, the eatery expanded to Katy in early February and has plans to open other Houston-area locations in the coming months.
The menu features traditional pulled pork sandwiches, pork ribs, brisket, catfish, fried chicken, barbecue nachos, spaghetti, baked beans, loaded macaroni and cheese, fried okra and other Memphis-inspired dishes. Desserts include peach cobbler, banana pudding, pecan pie, key lime pie and chocolate fudge pie with ice cream.
The restaurant will also have catering services, family-friendly activities on Sundays, live music on the patio Thursday through Sunday and a full bar, according to officials. www.corkysbbq.com
