At the Jan. 16 Grapevine City Council meeting, council approved a preliminary plat for a 44-lot neighborhood called Shady Brook, located at 993 Shady Brook Drive, Grapevine.

The property is located less than half a mile away from Downtown Grapevine and consists of 11.5 acres zoned for 52 lots. The Shady Brook neighborhood proposes 44 lots with 2.7 acres of open space. Developers say the goal is for the neighborhood to be walkable and sustainable, blending seamlessly into the existing area.

Developers said the homes in this area will feature single-story floor plan options, keeping in mind empty nesters moving from a larger home and seeking proximity to Grapevine's dining, shopping and transportation amenities.
