Development firm Transwestern broke ground with Kogut Commercial Real Estate and Mittman Real Estate officials on a new medical office with 26,000 square feet of leasable space at 2202 Hunter Road, San Marcos, on May 23.
Officials said San Marcos was the ideal place to put Hunter Medical Plaza because of the city’s growth and location along the I-35 corridor.
According to site plans, the development will have two floors and numerous parking spots available for staff and patients. There will also be options for flexible floor plans, customized build-outs and signage opportunities. The first floor currently has 4,200 square feet of leasable space, and the entire second floor is still available for lease.
MedFirst Primary Care, which has two locations in San Marcos, preleased approximately 10,000 square feet on the first floor.
