Home Helpers of West Austin opened this month by local Chris Graham, who was introduced to the Home Helpers franchise in 2016 when he needed in-home care for his mother.

“When my mom—who lived in Washington, D.C.—was sick, I was thrust into making a decision about home care for her very quickly,” Graham said in a release. “I knew there was a real chance I could lose her and I needed a company that listened to me, cared about the needs of my family and could build a plan that fit what we were looking for. Before that experience, I had honestly never even thought about home care.”

Graham had already been thinking about various franchise possibilities, and after his experience with Home Helpers, he realized that franchise was the business opportunity he wanted to pursue.

Home Helpers offers home care for seniors, new mothers and individuals needing recuperative and continuing assistance. Home Helpers of West Austin also offers Direct Link, its proprietary line of 24/7 medical alert systems, including a fall sensor with GPS locator and an automated medication dispenser.

Other services include personal care, such as grooming, bathing, ambulation, medication management and care management as well as respite care, meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, companionship and transportation.

“I knew I wanted to open a franchise, but I wanted a business with a human touch,” Graham said in the release. “I want to make a real difference for people at a challenging time in their lives.”
