The piñata store Jumpolin—which closed down in 2015 after being demolished and its merchandise destroyed—will open on Aug. 1 its first location since the original store at 95 Navasota St., Austin, was razed. The new location at 2605 E. Cesar Chavez St. will offer piñatas for birthday parties, graduations, weddings, showers and other events. Owners Sergio and Monica Lejarazu announced the news in a July 14 Facebook post in which they said they were "victims of the violent gentrification" in East Austin. www.facebook.com/Jumpolin-132752023443901
