The First Lego League team at Spicewood Elementary School, 11601 Olson Drive, Austin, advanced to the FLL World Festival in Houston in April after competing at the Central Texas Regional Invitational Championship.
The team, known as The Immortals, consists of fifth-graders Siyona Angihotri, Bela Jere, Aanchal Save and Eesha Siram as well as another team member who does not attend the school, according to RRISD.
FLL gives students a chance to solve engineering challenges with Lego-based robots. The team won the Research Award at the competition. 512-428-3600.
