Kronda Thimesch, a member of the Lewisville ISD board of trustees, announced Sept. 4 that she will run for election in 2020 as a Republican to represent District 65, which includes parts of Highland Village and Flower Mound, in the Texas House of Representatives.

Thimesch is serving her second term as a trustee. The term expires in 2021.

“Today’s announcement demonstrates we are well on our way to uniting Republicans so we can turn our focus to winning back this seat next November and providing this district with the kind of effective, conservative representation we deserve,” Thimesch stated in her announcement.
