FM 2978 widening underway in Magnolia


The two-phase project spans from FM 1488 to Hufsmith-Conroe Road in Magnolia, widening FM 2978 from two to four lanes. Hardin Store Road is approximately the dividing line for the segments.
Timeline: January 2018-fourth quarter 2019 (south segment), September 2018-second quarter 2021 (north segment)
Cost: $34.2 million

  1. There is nothing new in this story that had not been shared many months ago. I would be exited to know what progress has been made so far? Are portions of the FM2978 widening project about to be completed? Are any new businesses (store, restaurants) looking to build along FM2978 as portions of the widening project progresses?
