Harris County Precinct 4 is working to widen Hufsmith-Kohrville Road between Hollow Glen Lane and FM 2920 from two to four lanes. Three of the four remaining segments are in the study and design phases. Segment 6, which widens the roadway from Willow Creek Estates Lane to FM 2920, was awarded to Allgood Construction in September and is estimated to cost about $4.6 million. Construction on Segment 6 will begin once utilities are relocated, Precinct 4 officials said.
