1. Improvements to Dobbin Hufsmith and Hardin Store roads
The project adds turn lanes at Dobbin Hufsmith and Hardin Store roads as well as a traffic signal to the intersection. The turn lanes were complete as of mid-April, Montgomery County Precinct 2 Commissioner Charlie Riley said.

2. FM 2978 widening
The two-phase project by TxDOT widens FM 2978 between FM 1488 and Hufsmith-Conroe Road from two to four lanes with a center turn lane and replaces the Dry Creek bridge. Most of the utilities have been relocated, Riley said. The two-phase project was initially set to start in 2017.
Timeline: third quarter 2018-third quarter 2021 (Phase 1), January-fourth quarter 2018 (Phase 2)

3. Research Forest Drive widening
Construction on the last part of the project to widen Research Forest Drive from two to four lanes between FM 2978 and Alden Bridge Drive was completed in early April, said Don Dean, Montgomery County Precinct 2 operations manager.
