Following long delays from Montgomery County, all precincts in both Harris and Montgomery counties have now reported.

U.S. Rep. Michael McCaul will keep his seat after winning 68 percent of the vote, or 80,693 votes, against Democratic opponent Tawana Cadien in the race for District 10.

Republican Kevin Roberts won the race for District 126 with 58 percent of the vote, or 35,489 votes. Opponent Joy Dason-Thomas earned 39 percent, or 23,951 votes.

Valoree Swanson defeated Democratic opponent Michael Shawn Kelly in the race for State House District 150 with 63 percent of the vote, or 47,845 votes.

Incumbent Republican Mark Herman has been re-elected as the Harris County Precinct 4 constable with 206,400 votes, or 60.95 percent. Democrat Jeff McGowen garnered 132,228 votes, or 39.05 percent.

Democratic candidate Ed Gonzalez is the winner of the Harris County sheriff race over Republican incumbent Ron Hickman. Gonzalez garnered 679,232 votes, or about 53 percent, with all precincts reporting. Hickman garnered 606,570 votes, or 47 percent.

Incumbent Harris County Precinct 3 Commissioner Steve Radack has 199,643 votes, or 57.9 percent. He will defeat Democratic opponent Jenifer Rene Pool, who received 145,320 votes, or 42.1 percent.

Tomball ISD school board candidate Matt Schiel has declared victory for the board's position 5 race. In Harris and Montgomery counties, Schiel earned a total of 6,679 votes, compared with 4,299 for Joseph Fergeson and 6,169 for Lee McLeod. Fergeson and McLeod have both conceded.

Early voting results from Harris County have been released.

Republican Valoree Swanson leads Michael Shawn Kelly in the race for District 150 with 63.97 percent, or 37,259 votes, of the votes counted during early and absentee voting.

District 126 incumbent Kevin Roberts-R also leads against Joy Dawson-Thomas with 59 percent of the vote, or 26,636 votes.

Early voting totals show Harris County Precinct 3 Commissioner Steve Radack is in the lead against Democratic candidate Jenifer Rene Pool with 58 percent of the vote, or 152,281 votes.

In the race for Harris County Sheriff, Democrat Ed Gonzales leads against incumbent Ron Hickman with 52 percent of the vote, or 490,324 votes.

Incumbent Republican Mark Herman, is leading the vote for the Harris County Precinct 4 constable position with 159,993 votes, or 61.86 percent, compared to opponent Democrat Jeff McGowen, who has gained 98,598 votes, or 38.14 percent.

Matt Schiel and Lee McLeod are tied ahead of Joseph Ferguson with 37.02 percent of the accounted-for early and absentee votes in Harris County. Both candidates received 4,320 votes, and Ferguson received 25.96 percent, or 3,030 votes.

Any Tomball or Magnolia resident who did not have the opportunity to vote early will have one last chance to cast a ballot Tuesday between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.

U.S House-Texas District 10

Incumbent Republican Michael McCaul is running against Democratic candidate Tawana Cadien and Libertarian candidate Bill Kelsey. McCaul has served six terms as a congressman. Texas House of Representatives-District 126

Democrat Joy Dawson-Thomas is running against incumbent Republican candidate Kevin Roberts and Libertarian candidate Eric B. Moquin. Dawson-Thomas and Roberts are both Houston natives and have said they would work more closely with community leaders to identify top issues if elected. Texas House of Representatives-District 150

After defeating incumbent Debbie Riddle in the primary elections, Republican candidate Valoree Swanson is running against Democrat Michael Shawn Kelly. Both candidates are from the Spring/Klein area and have made education and safety top priorities in their campaigns. More comments from each District 126 candidate can be found here. 

Harris County Commissioner, Precinct 3 

Incumbent Steve Radack-R, faces off against Democratic candidate Jenifer Rene Pool for Harris County Commissioner. Radack has served as commissioner for the past 28 years, while Pool has worked as a business consultant in the construction industry for over 20 years. Both candidates have called for park improvements to prevent future flooding and improving local infrastructure. More information about each candidate can be found in our Q&A here. 

Tomball ISD board of trustees, position 5

The race for Tomball ISD board of trustees, position 5, has three candidates: Joseph Ferguson, Lee McLeod and Matt Schiel. Ferguson, a former TISD administrator, is an assistant professor at Lone Star College-Montgomery. McLeod, a father of four children in TISD schools, owns a Farmer’s Insurance agency. Schiel lives in the Magnolia area and works as a commercial appraiser with the Montgomery County Appraisal District. Comments from the candidates can be found here.
