What do you like best about coaching football? The best reward in coaching football is the impact we have on young people’s lives. We have an opportunity to help our students make positive choices that have a lifelong impact. We see them blossom and mature, and knowing that we had a hand in that makes the sacrifices worth it.

What do you like best about coaching football?
Our program not only teaches plays on the field, but we also teach our players to be proud no matter the level of their success or the difficulty they may face. We want them to be proud of themselves, and we want those supporting them to be proud of them as well.

What do you like best about coaching football?
[I like] the opportunity to help young men and shape them into good husbands and fathers and citizens in their communities. We get an opportunity to impact more student athletes in one year than a lot of people do in a lifetime. That’s really what brought me to coaching and to the game of football. I believe it’s the ultimate team sport.

Life is not all about football, but football is all about life. It’s a sport that you can teach men the three best abilities: responsibility, accountability and dependability. I have a love for the sport that’s pretty high, and I wanted to be able to teach boys to become men [and] to be men of character.
