Work is underway on the site for a building and parking project between Research Forest Drive and Technology Forest Boulevard on Lakeside Boulevard. According to developer Transwestern, the building will be six stories high and include 140,000 square feet of office space when it opens in summer 2020.








A new center for Ismaili Jamatkhan, a Muslim place of worship, is under construction on Community Center Drive. An Ismaili Jamatkhan representative said the finishing touches on the building are expected to be completed by the end of the year, and an opening celebration is planned for early 2020.






  3   Development has begun on the 408-unit residential property The Landmark at Auburn Lakes on Gosling Road. Sheri Harrison, Landmark Management Group’s executive vice president, said the first units are anticipated to be available in spring of 2020. The rest of the units are anticipated to be finished by the end of 2020.


 








4   Construction is nearing completion on Creekside Park West, a 12-acre retail center that will be anchored by a Moviehouse and Eatery on Kuykendahl Road. Work on the project began Jan. 30, and the theater is anticipated to open in November, according to Jim Carman, Howard Hughes Corp.’s senior vice president of commercial development. Additional retail and restaurants will begin coming to the development in 2020, he said.








5   Construction is underway on a parking garage for the Metropark Square shopping center located off I-45 in Shenandoah with an anticipated completion date at the end of November. Daniel Moon, the vice president of the Sam Moon Group, which is developing the complex, said it is among several projects in the area, including a Dave & Buster’s entertainment venue.


 








Furniture store Rooms to Go began construction on


an expansion in Oak Ridge North on I-45 on Sept. 9, according to Oak Ridge North officials. The expansion will allow the store to offer a variety of outdoor furniture selections for customers.
