As of 5:30 p.m. Aug. 15, Brad Bailey had filed to run for Position 1, Linda Nelson filed to run for Position 2, Richard Franks filed to run for Position 3, and Kyle Watson filed to run for Position 4, in addition to names already on the ballot.

As of 5:30 p.m. Aug. 1, Tom Chumbley had filed to run for Position 1.

According to a news release, Richard Franks announced he intends to file as a candidate.


July 25 8:55 a.m.

Filing for four at-large positions on The Woodlands Township board of directors began July 23.

The four seats available are positions 1, 2, 3 and 4. Each position is for a two-year term, according to information from the township. The seats are held by Gordy Bunch, Jason J. Nelson, John Anthony Brown and Bruce Rieser, respectively. The positions are nonpartisan.

The deadline for candidates to file an application to appear on the ballot is 5 p.m. Aug. 22, and the deadline to file a declaration of write-in candidacy is Aug. 26, according to the township.


As of 5 p.m. July 25, John Anthony Brown had filed to run for Position 3.

In news releases sent to Community Impact Newspaper, three prospective candidates—Linda Nelson, Brad Bailey and Kyle Watson—announced their intention to file as candidates. As of 5 p.m. July 25 those candidates' names were not yet listed on The Woodlands Township website for applications received.
