Several opportunities to honor veterans will be available throughout Montgomery County on Friday.

Conroe ISD Salute to Our Veterans
Nov. 11
10 a.m.

Conroe ISD will pay tribute to those who have served in the U.S. military at Moorehead Stadium. The combined CISD Armed Services JROTC will salute veterans during the ceremony, and Lt. Cnl. Veterans Day Commemorative Ceremony

Conroe American Legion Post 411 will honor past and present U.S. veterans at Historical Flag Park, and state Sen. Brandon Creighton, R-Conroe, will speak. During the event, all branched of the military will be recognized. Free. Historical Flag Park, 104 I-45 N., Conroe. www.texasflagpark.com.

Magnolia Historical Society Annual Veterans Day Event

The Woodlands Township Veterans Day Tribute

Brigadier General Brevet Constance C. McNabb will serve as the event’s keynote speaker, and a presentation of colors and musical performances will also take place. Veterans Day Worship

Trinity Episcopal Church and Lord of Life Lutheran Church will host a joint worship service to honor and remember veterans. Army Chaplain Richard Brunk, Jr., who was wounded in Iraq, will be the guest speaker. Tom Cox Intermediate’s fifth grade honor choir will perform, and the Klein Collins Air Force ROTC will present the colors. Free. Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 3801 S. Veterans Day Breakfast

9 a.m.

Mercedes-Benz of The Woodlands will host veterans, active and retired military personnel and their families and friends for breakfast in the car dealership’s showroom. Co-owner and general manager Bob Milner will begin the program, and state Rep. Mark Keough, R-The Woodlands, will be the guest speaker. The Conroe High School Army JROTC Color Guard will present a flag ceremony, and American Legion Post 305 Commander Victoria Glover will conduct the prayer and invocation. Free.
