South Stadium Drive extension on track to be complete in March


This project to extend the existing bridge over the Union Pacific Railroad tracks and Oyster Creek to connect to Stadium Drive in Sugar Land is 50 percent complete.

Work crews finished installing bridge beams in November, and installation of the retaining wall is ongoing. Crews are working on waterline and drainage sewer installations, and contractors will begin placing concrete deck panels on the bridge next.

Timeline: February 2017-March 2018
Cost: $11.5 million
Funding source: Imperial Redevelopment District
