Attend a school board or county meeting, and attend a community event this week in Sugar Land and Missouri City.

1) The Fort Bend ISD board of trustees meets Monday at 6 p.m. at the district's administration building, 16431 Lexington Blvd., Sugar Land. 2) Fort Bend County Commissioners Court meets Tuesday at 1 p.m. at 401 Jackson St., Richmond. From the Office of Emergency Management, the court will take all appropriate action on the Memorandum of Understanding between Fort Bend County and Code 3 Associates for assistance with animal rescue and evacuation in times of disaster. 3) The city of Sugar Land celebrates Earth Day from 3-7 p.m. Saturday with a "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Rock" event featuring live performances by Vocal Trash, reptile shows by Texas Snakes & More, and eco-friendly displays and demonstrations.  The event takes place in Sugar Land Town Square, 15958 City Walk, Sugar Land. 4) MCTX Fest 2018 takes place Saturday from 4-9 p.m. at the Fort Bend County Annex Grounds, 5855 Sienna Springs Way, Missouri City. Live music, art and food will be available for this second annual Missouri City celebration. For more information, click here
