The 15th annual Sugar Land Food and Wine Affair takes place this week, and several city and county meetings take place this week, April 2-8.

1) Missouri City City Council meets at 7 p.m. Monday for a regular meeting at 1522 Texas Parkway, Missouri City. On the agenda is a public hearing regarding a zoning classification for 5.66 acres of land north of the Waterbrook subdivision, southeast of the intersection of Sienna Parkway and Watts Plantation Road, and southwest of a section of the Avalon at Sienna subdivision. Council will hear comments for and against reclassifying the areas from a suburban district to a R-1 single-family residential district. View the full agenda here.

2) Fort Bend County Commissioners Court meets at 1 p.m. Tuesday at 401 Jackson Street, Richmond. The commissioners will vote on approving an amendment to an agreement for construction of the Justice Center expansion to include courtroom buildout, a new grand jury and a new law library for a total not to exceed $22,721,165. 3) Sugar Land City Council meetsat 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at 2700 Town Center Blvd., Sugar Land. A workshop will be held to discuss the city's Brazos River Bank erosion study. To view the full agenda, click here

4) Fort Bend ISD will host two of four facilities master plan meetings 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday. The purpose of these meetings is to engage the community and seek feedback that will guide the district’s update to the facilities master plan and future planning. Tuesday's meeting will be held at Travis High School, 11111 Harlem Road, Richmond. Wednesday's meeting will be held at Marshall High School, 1220 Buffalo Run, Missouri City. 5) Fort Bend County Levee Improvement District No. 2 will host a public meetingat 6 p.m. Wednesday at Sugar Land City Hall, 2700 Town Center Blvd., Sugar Land, to discuss Hurricane Harvey recovery. 

6) Missouri City City Council will hold two special meetings this week at 1522 Texas Parkway, Missouri City, to discuss the City Council Strategic Plan and the city's financial forecast. The first meeting regarding the strategic plan takes place at 6 p.m. Wednesday, and the second meeting regarding the financial forecast takes placeat 7 p.m. Thursday  Click here to view the agendas.
