Here are some of the region's major road and ramp closures to keep in mind while driving throughout Houston this weekend, March 23-25. For a full list of closures, visit Houston TranStar.

Hwy. 290

  • Drivers on Hwy. 290 westbound will see continuous total lane closures from West 43rd Street to Pinemont Drive from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. Alternatively, the eastbound lanes in the same area will be closed continuously from 9 p.m. Friday to noon Saturday.

  • The westbound lanes from Jones Road to Eldridge Parkway will also be closed overnight from 11 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Saturday.

  • The entrance ramp from FM 529 is shut down until April 2, and the westbound entrance ramps from FM 1960 and Eldridge Parkway are closed all weekend as well. The exit ramp to Huffmeister Road is also closed all weekend.

  • The eastbound frontage road from Tidwell Road to Hollister Road are also closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.

  • The Hwy. 290 lanes going eastbound at the Interstate 10 direct connector will also be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning Saturday through Monday.

  • The two outside lanes going eastbound from Beltway 8 to Gessner Road will be closed continuously from 9 p.m. Friday through 5 a.m. Monday.


Loop 610

  • Two outside lanes from Westheimer Road to Post Oak Boulevard will be closed daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. all weekend.


Beltway 8

  • Drivers going eastbound at will see the entrance ramp at Cullen Boulevard is closed all weekend, as well as the westbound exit ramp at Wayside Drive.


I-10

  • Four inside lanes going eastbound from the Harris-Fort Bend County line to the Grand Parkway in Katy is closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Friday and Saturday.


Hwy. 59

  • The northbound and southbound lanes from Kingwood Drive to FM 1960 are closed continuously until August due to construction work. The inside lane remains active.

  • Southbound Hwy. 59 is also closed from FM 1314 to FM 1960 from 2 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday.
