The Texas Department of Transportation is holding a public hearing Tuesday night at George Ranch High School to introduce a Crabb River Road widening project. Project renderings will be on display at 5:30 p.m. with the official presentation starting at 6:30 p.m.

The proposed project would widen the road from two lanes to four lanes with a raised median from Sansbury Boulevard to 500 feet south of the Lamar CISD complex on FM 762. The project would also create an overpass over the BNSF railroad line and Thompsons Road. There is no timetable for the project yet, according to TxDOT.
