On May 18, Gov. Greg Abbott announced summer camps may open starting May 31. While not all summer camps will be holding camp as planned this year, here are 10 Pearland camps that will be offered.



Alpha Omega Gymnastics

The summer camp program includes gymnastics, along with arts and science projects and an in-house field trip for age 3 and older. There will also be Slip 'n Slides, water games and water balloons. Half-day, drop-in and extended-day rate options are available.

Campers ride every day and learn how to groom, tack and care for their horses. They also participate in several horse-related activities and games on a 40-acre facility. This year, there are half-day and full-day options for camps. Camps are geared toward riders ages 6-12.

Bricks and MiniFigs will offer an Engineering with Legos camp in July. The camp has options for children ages 5-7 and 7-12. The camp for 5- to 7-year-olds will be held 9 a.m.-noon; the camp for 7- to 12-year-olds will be held 1-4 p.m.

Idea Labs Kids will offer virtual and in-person camps, which would allow a maximum of eight students to a classroom due to the coronavirus. Camps are offered from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m., or half-day options are available from 9 a.m.-noon or 1-4 p.m. Extended care is also available from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. The camp themes include arts, cooking and engineering. Camps are geared toward children ages 5-13.
