With all votes tallied, Carl Gustafson will remain as Friendswood City Council Position 6. Gustafson totaled 54.7 percent, or 1,249 votes, to best challenger Mike Stacy. Stacy garnered 45.3 percent of votes, according to unofficial results from the city of Friendswood.

Stacy, who retired from the information technology field, has lived in Friendswood for 19 years.
All results are unofficial until canvassed. Friendswood City Council is expected to canvass the votes at a special meeting May 16.
Mike Foreman, a former astronaut, will assume Friendswood City Council Position 4 after running unopposed. Incumbent Patrick McGinnis chose not to seek re-election.
