Drivers this weekend heading downtown or traveling on major roadways in Houston this weekend can expect various delays due to construction. Here are six major connector closures to help drivers plan ahead:

1. The eastbound connector ramp from 610 Loop South to I-45 is closed continuously until Sept. 30. Drivers can detour by taking the I-45 southbound connector ramp, exiting on Broadway and making a U-turn.

2. IH-10 will have 3 alternate lanes closed eastbound and westbound from T. C. Jester Blvd. to Smith and Louisiana Streets from 9 p.m. Friday, April 7 to 5 a.m. Monday, April 10.

3. The 610 Loop South eastbound frontage road will have total closure from Woodridge Drive to SH-35 and Reveille Street until 9 p.m. Saturday, September 30. Drivers on 610 eastbound traffic will take the IH-45 southbound connector ramp and exit Broadway and u-turn. Drivers on 610 eastbound traffic will exit Telephone and take Telephone Rd to Park Place to SH 35.

4. Hwy. 290 Northwest will have total closure eastbound from Eldridge Parkway to FM 529 from 9:00 PM, Friday, April 7 to noon, Saturday, April 8. Drivers can detour to the Eldridge exit to eastbound frontage road and then re-enter main lanes after FM 529.

5. Hwy. 290 Northwest will have total closures on the eastbound connector ramp to Beltway 8 West  from 9:00 PM, Friday, April 7 to noon, Saturday, April 8. Drivers can detour to the FM 529 exit to the eastbound frontage road. Northbound tollway motorists can turn left on the Beltway 8 frontage road and enter the tollway after Phillipine Street. Southbound tollway motorists can turn right on Beltway 8 frontage and enter the tollway past W. Little York.

6. I-10 East will have four alternate lanes closed westbound from Wayside Drive and Hwy. 90 to Waco Street from 5 a.m. Saturday, 8 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday, April 9. Drivers should expect a delay.
