Early voting polls open for May 9 elections


Early voting for Missouri City May 9 general elections opened April 27 and will continue through May 5.

Two Missouri City City Council incumbents, District B representative Don Smith and District A representative Yolanda Ford, are up for reelection against Japaula Kemp and Bobby Marshall, respectively.

Voters also will vote for Fort Bend ISD School Board Position 2 and Position 6. Incumbent Grayle James faces Yu Kathy Li for Position 2 while incumbent Jenny Bailey faces JJ Clemence, Addie Heyliger and Stuart Jackson for Position 6.

Residents may cast ballots in person at four locations:

Missouri City Community Center, 1522 Texas Pkwy.,

Hightower High School, 3333 Hurricane Lane

Sienna Branch Library, at 8411 Sienna Springs Blvd.

Quail Valley Fund Office, at 3603 Glenn Lakes Lane

The Missouri City Community Center and Hightower High School polls are open April 27-May 2 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and May 4 from 7 a.m.-7 p.m.

The Sienna Branch Library and Quail Valley Fund Office polls are open April 27-May 1 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and May 4. from 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
