Construction on Emerus Community Hospital has started and is slated to open in Tomball in February 2014.

The hospital is currently under construction on Hwy. 249 near Northpointe Blvd. in southern Tomball. The hospital will have eight inpatient beds and eight emergency room exam rooms.

"The new Emerus Community Hospital in Tomball will offer a clear alternative to many of the frustrations normally caused by lengthy visits to a more traditional hospital campus," said Dan Middlebrook, Medical Director of the new hospital. "We provide personalized, high-quality emergency medical care, inpatient care and other comprehensive health services including laboratory and radiological services such as X-ray, CT scan and ultrasound."

The hospital, which will be open 24-hours a day, seven days a week, will also have an in-house pharmacy.

Emerus has a separate Emergency Room in Tomball, off Hwy. 249, that will remain open.
