Fall Home Tour Festival - Oct. 5–20
Participants can tour professionally decorated model homes on display as part of The Cross Creek Ranch Fall Home Tour Festival. Events on Oct. 12 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.. include an art market with more than 30 art vendors and festive food booths. The Fourth Annual Fulshear Scarecrow Festival will take place on Oct. 19 from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. There will be live music, kid-friendly games, pumpkin decorating, and festival-goers can walk through a collection of full-size scarecrows. Katy Rice Harvest Festival - Oct. 12–13
The annual festival in downtown Katy features a parade, vendor booths, carnival and live entertainment. Texas Renaissance Festival - Oct. 12 through Dec. 1
The 39th Texas Renaissance Festival opens Oct. 12 and features another year of 16th Century festivities and entertainment. Pumpkin Patch - Sept. 27–Oct. 26
Take pictures in the pumpkin patch while looking for the perfect pumpkin at Blessington Farms. Living History Festival - Oct. 26
Families can discover more than 150 years of Texas history at the 30th annual Texian Market Days festival. Island Oktoberfest - Oct. 25–26
Live entertainment, vendor booths, children's activities, and German food and spirits encompass the annual event in Galveston, which attracts more than 15,000 visitors. A sausage dinner is considered the traditional festival fare, but the event also boasts homemade cakes, strudel and apple cake. The master-planned community of Bridgeland hosts the fifth annual event featuring animal performances, a dog fashion show, the Splash Dogs competition and the inaugural Ruff Run competition.
