Big decisions made in 2012
- Street improvement project — The effort to improve Jersey Village streets and sewers made significant progress in 2012. The project reached the third stage of construction.
- New council members — Following the general municipal election held in early May, Justin Ray and Sheri Shepard were appointed to City Council.
Top issues for 2013
- Noise mitigation efforts — As the Hwy. 290 expansion nears Jersey Village in 2013, residents and council members will continue to urge TxDOT to implement noise mitigation efforts.
- Upcoming general election — The May 11 election will appoint a mayor and two council members and decide whether to continue the Jersey Village Crime Control and Prevention District.
