Local watch parties scheduled for today

The
East Montgomery County Republican Women hosts an election night watch party at Texan Drive Stadium at 21360 Valley Ranch Parkway, Porter. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
The
Harris County Republican Party hosts an election night watch party featuring special guest Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick at HCRP Headquarters, located at 7232 Wynnwood Lane, Houston. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and light refreshments are available.

The
Harris County Democratic Party is not hosting an official watch party but is encouraging residents to attend county parties including the Houston for Hillary Election Results watch party, hosted by the Hillary Clinton Houston Campaign. The party will take place at The Republic Smokehouse Saloon, located at 1910 Bagby St., Houston. The event will begin at 5 p.m., and attendees will be able to watch as results from around the country are announced live. Free ($5 for parking)

New Caney ISD board of trustees race underway
More than 156,800 Montgomery County residents showed their support for their favorite candidates during early voting.
