Due to rising COVID-19 cases as the delta variant continues to spread, Including Kids Autism Center for Community Inclusion will be postponing its open house for its new young adult vocational skills center until later this fall, officials announced Aug. 13.

"Unfortunately, due to rising COVID conditions within the Lake Houston area—and Houston at-large—we have made the decision to postpone our Center for Community Inclusion open house until later in the fall," the announcement reads. "Local health officials have asked organizations to avoid large indoor gatherings during this time. The health and safety of our community is always our first priority."

In the meantime, officials said clients are already using the new young adult vocational skills center on a daily basis. Details about the rescheduled open house are forthcoming.
