Tularosa Southwestern Grill

What we reported
The second Kingwood-area restaurant concept from RC Gallegos, owner of RC’s NYC Pizza & Pasta—opened in early June. The restaurant offers New Mexican-style green and red chile enchiladas as well as fajitas, quesadillas, nachos, burgers and steaks.

The latest
Seeking to create a more eclectic menu and fulfill a demand for craft barbecue in Kingwood, Gallegos partnered with Tony Faour, owner of BBQ Godfather, a food truck based in Spring, to add barbecue to the food options in December. Tularosa now features two distinct menus—one for its New Mexican-style favorites and another for Faour’s barbecue. Early customer favorites include the sliced brisket, spicy pulled pork and the sweet potato casserole, Gallegos said.
