March 25-27: Montgomery County Fair

The Montgomery County Fair Association will host its 65th annual fair with livestock shows, carnival rides, concerts, vendors and a rodeo. March 25-27: 21st Annual Tomball German Heritage Festival

The Tomball German Heritage Festival will host its 21st annual festival in downtown Tomball. The festival includes German food and drinks, street performers, vendors, live music and a carnival with rides. Classical Chinese dance is combined with dynamic animated backgrounds and original orchestral works in Shen Yun's performance. The nonprofit organization Shen Yun Performing Arts is based in New York. The organization aims to revive traditional Chinese culture 5,000 years after it was established. March 25: Carnaval at the Houston Zoo

TXU Energy is transforming the H-E-B Lone Star Pavilion for an after-hours Carnaval experience at the Houston Zoo. The event is restricted to those age 21 and older, and will feature Latin music performed by the Leslie Lugo Band, Samba lessons, free caricature sketches and a variety of games. March 26: Cypress Creek Foundation for the Arts and Community Enrichment

Get swept away to Ireland during this music and dance performance by the Celtic Angels Ireland, hosted by the Cypress Creek Foundation for the Arts and Community Enrichment. Angel Reach, a nonprofit organization supporting youth ages 16-24 in the foster care system, will host a Road Rally Scavenger Hunt to bring community awareness to the foster care system, especially youth who age out of the system. The scavenger hunt will have participants drive to locations throughout the Conroe area where they will perform tasks and follow clues while learning about the foster care system. Katy Taste Fest, which has been on hiatus for two years, is back to show off the diversity of Katy's food community. According to a press release, Katy Taste Fest offers samples of dishes from more than 20 local restaurants. A silent auction, cooking demonstrations, live entertainment and a range of family-friendly activities await attendees of all ages. March 26: Cypress Symphonic Band concert

The Houston-based Turkey Leg Hut will be hosting its second annual festival on Almeda Road in Houston's Historic Third Ward between Wichita and Arbor streets. The TLH annual festival is free and family-friendly, and there will be 100 vendors, food, drinks and live entertainment.
