Memorial Heights-area paving and drainage project
A project aimed at improving neighborhood streets between Heights Boulevard and Studemont Street is planned to begin construction this fall. The project will put in concrete paving with storm drainage, curbs, sidewalks and driveways as well as street lighting and underground utilities along Hicks, Center, Harvard, Wagner, East, Lakin, Court, Wichman, High and Home streets.
Cost: $12.1 million

West Alabama paving and drainage Project 2

As part of a series of projects aimed at improving West Alabama Street, an effort is midway through the design phase but is not programmed for construction funding in the city’s 2020-24 Capital Improvement Program. Project 2 calls for design and reconstruction of the street with new storm drainage, curbs, sidewalks, driveways, street lighting and underground utilities, spanning from Shepherd Drive to Spur 527.
Cost: $22 million
