After the COVID-19-forced hiatus and limited service, Levy Park's restaurants by Fort Worth chef Tim Love are serving up barbecue and burgers, according to a Sept. 2 news release.

“Houston has an unimpeachable food scene and some of the most curious and welcoming diners my team and I have had the pleasure of serving. A sprawling space with an outdoor element is hard to come by, so when the opportunity came to be considered for Levy Park, I jumped at the chance. It’s really the perfect fit with a laid back oasis-in-the-city vibe I’m excited to be a part of,” Love said in the release.

The new offerings include:

The Woodshed Smokehouse, 3728 Wakeforest St., a barbecue restaurant with rotating meat specials smoked or cooked over a variety of wood sources. Diners will also find 25 beers on tap, cocktails and wine as well as smoked dessert items and even dog treats. It offers indoor as well as outdoor seating. It is now open seven days a week. 346-718-6110

The Love Shack, 3709 Eastside St., offering made-to-order burgers, hot dogs, nachos and other American fare at a walk-up kiosk with outdoor seating. Located next to the dog parks, canine treats will also be on hand. Love Shack is open on Fridays, 4 p.m. to close, and opens on weekends at 11 a.m. 346-227-6250

Side Dough, 3709 Eastside St., located adjacent to Woodshed, is a modified double decker bus serving hot and iced coffee, espresso, lattes, cappuccinos, along with food selections. Side Dough was inspired by Love’s “Back Dough” concept located at his Queenie’s Steakhouse in Denton. It is slated to open soon.
