Academic


Cy-Fair ISD fun camps
Cy-Fair ISD hosts annual fun camps each summer featuring weeklong sessions with a variety of hands-on activities. Topics include art, science, dance, cooking and sports, among others. Dates, cost and other details have yet to be announced. Specialty camps are held for six various weeks throughout the summer and operate from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

Club Rewind
The CFISD program offers weekly themed summer camp sessions. Each session features a hands-on activity related to the weekly theme, reading time, games and other academic and art activities. Grades K-8. Dates and costs are TBA.

Discovery College
Discovery College at Lone Star College-CyFair provides an opportunity for students to grow this summer with a variety of science, technology, engineering and math-based programs as well as athletics and performing and visual arts. Four one-week sessions are offered in the morning and afternoon. Ages 6-14. June 12-29 and July 10-13. Weekly sessions start at $97.

Artisan School of Dance
Summer programs are available for dancers of all levels and ages, including Dance Like a Princess or Prince, children’s workshop and dancer intensives. Several camps require placement by audition or recommendation. Space is limited. Ages 3-18. Camp Cypress
Hosted by Cypress Academy, three different summer camp programs are available. Camp Cypress provides weekly activities, such as bounce houses, splash days and games. CAPA Theatre camps focus on different elements of theater, including musical theater fundamentals and mock auditions. CAPA dance camps focus on theater dance skills. Camps hosted by Cy-Fair Music and Arts cover a wide variety of topics spanning art, drama and instrument camps for piano, drums and guitar. Playhouse 1960
Students at two-week camps participate in acting games, exercises and improvisations as they learn lines and prepare for public performances. Campers can perform in four plays. Located in Navasota, Camp Allen’s summer camp is one of the largest summer camp programs in the Episcopal Church. Each summer, over 1,900 campers from across Texas come to refocus and relax. Camp Coyote

Campers head out to a 530-acre campground along the shores of Lake Livingston for weeklong camps hosted by the Houston YMCA throughout the summer.
