Several eateries will open in the Spring and Klein area near the rapidly developing areas of Springwoods Village and the Grand Parkway, and several others have signed leases in shopping centers in those areas.

JINYA Ramen Bar has signed a lease for 2,744 square feet of retail space in the Market at Springwoods Village, according to a press release from NewQuest Properties. The Japanese restaurant franchise specializes in serving different combinations of ramen noodles and broth. Information on the company's plans for the space was not immediately available from the developers or the Jinya Ramen Bar corporate office. The Market at Springwoods Village, anchored by a Kroger supermarket slated to open this summer, is located west of I-45 and south of the Grand Parkway. Other restaurants confirmed at The Market at Springwoods Village include Chick-fil-A, Zoe's Kitchen, MOD Pizza, Tarka's Indian Kitchen and Cold Stone Creamery.

Biggby Coffee will open in July in the new H-E-B at 20311 Champion Forest Drive, Spring. This coffee shop serves espresso-based lattes, specialty teas, freshly brewed coffee and baked goods such as bagels and muffins. Great American Cookies and Marble Slab will open in the second week of May in the Grand Parkway Marketplace I shopping center at 6630 Spring Stuebner Road, Ste. 505, Spring. A Chipotle restaurant and a Potbelly restaurant will open in Grand Parkway Marketplace I in 2017 at Spring Stuebner Road and the Grand Parkway, and a Smashburger is among the tenants confirmed for Grand Parkway Marketplace II when the shopping center opens in 2018 at the intersection of Spring Stuebner and Kuykendahl roads.
