Trademark Property Co. has announced plans to develop an 82-acre mixed-use town center in Katy, located at the northwest corner of I-10 and Mason Road. A construction timeline has not yet been set.

The company said in a press release that it will work throughout the coming months on the planning aspect of a preliminary 60-acre development that will include retail, dining, residential, office space and a hotel. The site is part of a 107-acre tract owned by Westside Ventures that is set to be developed in phases over the course of the coming years, the release said.

"This is a great project which we are very excited about," said Lance LaCour, the president and chief executive officer of the Katy Area Economic Development Council. "As our area continues to experience tremendous population growth, it is vital we continue to grow retail options for our residents. The newest project by Trademark Property Co. at I-10 and Mason Road will help meet the needs of our population moving forward."
