1. Early voting starts tomorrow.
Texas residents who registered to vote by Oct. 11 are eligible to vote early from Oct. 24-Nov. 4. Voters can cast their ballots in person at one of the early voting locations listed
here or vote by mail. To vote by mail, a citizen must be away from his or her county on Election Day and during early voting, be sick or disabled, be 65 years or older on Election Day or be confined in jail, but eligible to vote. If a citizen meets these qualifications, he or she can
obtain a mail-in ballot.
2. Halloween celebrations take place next weekend.
With Halloween falling on a Monday this year, celebrations will take place throughout the weekend preceding the holiday. Check out our

3. Cy-Hope will hold a ribbon cutting at its new location off Telge Road.

4. "Come Together Extravaganza" benefits local nonprofit Inspiring Hands Oct. 28
Community members and business owners are invited to attend the second annual Inspiring Hands fundraiser OCt. 28 from 6-11 p.m. to help support the organization's awards and immediate needs programs. The jazz-themed event will feature saxophone artist Jack Karr, a live concert by The Fab5, plated dinner, dancing, costume contest and a silent and live auction. Individual tickets are $100.
