Harris County Precinct 3 is working on two projects to widen Schiel Road from the Grand Parkway to Mason Road in Cypress from a two-lane asphalt roadway to a four-lane concrete boulevard with raised medians. The first project, from the Grand Parkway to Fairfield Place Drive, is scheduled to go out for construction bids in the first quarter of 2019. The second project, from Fairfield Place Drive to Mason Road, could be bid in the second quarter of 2019. The projects cost a total of $8 million.
