Second Annual Casino Night Gala

For the second year in a row the Northwest Houston Mothers of Multiples host a casino night fundraiser and auction. The group helps moms of multiple birth children, including twins, triplets and higher order multiples. All proceeds support club needs for the year and the organization’s charity partner, Cy-Hope. Tickets include dinner, dessert and $1,000 in gambling chips.

Swimjitsu
Sept. 17-18
“Swimjas” can participate in SwimJitsu—a mash-up of an in-water obstacle course and swimming skills competition—at the Cypress Fairbanks Swim Club. Children can compete in four waves of two-hour sessions and attempt unlimited runs on the course. All swim skill levels are welcome. Awards are given at the end of each wave for the best times per age group. Once participants conquer the obstacle course, they master the three traits of speed, agility and wisdom.

10th Annual Fiestas Patrias with Telemundo Houston
Sept. 18
Trader’s Village hosts the decade old celebration of Fiestas Patrias, otherwise known as Diez y Seis de Septiembre. The holiday commemorates the end of Spanish rule in Mexico. In 1825, the Republic of Mexico declared the Diez y Seis de Septiembre its national Independence Day. Traders Village hosts its own celebration with Telemundo Houston. The event features a live concert, dancing and family fun. Performers include Mariachi Loco, Jimmy Fighter and Las Fenix.
