It's autumn in the Conroe and Montgomery area, and folks who want to make the most of the cooler weather have more than a few options this weekend, beginning with the Oktoberfest celebration at Southern Star Brewing, a corn maze and an art show.

1. Check out some local art

2. It's officially Oktoberfest season

Southern Star Brewing's annual Oktoberfest Party will feature German-style beer, live polka music by The Moravians and the Home Brewed Brass Ensemble, games and German food. 3. Get lost in the corn maze

P-6 Farms is hosting its Fall Festival and corn maze event through Nov. 10. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturdays and noon to 6 p.m. on Sundays. 4. Take a leap of faith in yourself at open mic night
