It is a busy week in the Conroe and Montgomery area, with Conroe ISD and Willis ISD holding board meetings to discuss their respective 2017-18 proposed budgets and tax rates, as well as school beginning for both districts.

Conroe ISD Board of Trustees meets Tuesday

CISD Board of Trustees gather at 6 p.m. Aug. 15 for a  regular meeting to discuss and take action on the 2017-18 proposed budget and tax rate. The public is invited to comment during the public hearing. Trustees will consider approval of various agenda items, including a rifle-resistant body armor grant program, the 2017-18 school budget, and the 2017 ad valorem tax rate of $1.28 per $100 valuation. School starts for CISD students on Wednesday

Willis ISD Board of Trustees meets on Wednesday

WISD Board of Trustees meet at noon on Aug. 16 for a special board meeting to discuss the proposed 2017-18 budget and tax rate. The public is invited to comment on the budget and tax rate during the public meeting. Trustees will consider approval of the 2017-18 budget and the 2017-18 tax rate following the public hearing. School starts for WISD students on Thursday

WISD students go back to school on Aug. 17. Regular school hours are 8:25 a.m.-12:05 p.m. and noon-3:40 p.m. for pre-kindergarten students, 8:25 a.m.-3:40 p.m. for elementary school students, 7:30 a.m.-2:50 p.m. for middle school students, and 7:20 a.m.-2:35 p.m. for high school students.
