Valoree Swanson leads Democratic opponent Michael Shawn Kelly in political donations so far this election season, according to the latest round of campaign finance reports due to election officials Tuesday.

Every opposed candidate in the Nov. 8 election must file a contributions and expenditures report 30 days before the election. This latest round of reports, the first mandated disclosure since this summer, covers all financials from July 1 to Sept. 29, according to the Texas Ethics Commission.

Here is how much donation money each candidate has earned and spent for State House District 150 during that timeframe:

Swanson: $25,558.00 contributions, $21,333.55 expenditures
Kelly: $2,955.00 contributions, $24,951.91 expenditures

Candidates for the Texas House can receive unlimited contributions from individuals; candidate committees; political action committees, or PACs; and political parties.

2. Texas Tea Party Republican Women PAC, $2,000
3. Blackridge, $1,500
4. Texas Apartment Association, $1,250
5. D. Mayes Middleton, Allen Boone Humphries Robinson, Associated General Contractors of Texas PAC, Allen Robert Hartman, Home-PAC Greater Houston Builders, Texas Architects Committee, Jeff Hoffart, and Alex and Molly McCoy contributed $1,000 each.

Kelly
1. Diane Schumacher, $1,000
2. Anne Dunlap, $500
3. Ralph Rayburn, Jonathan Lee and Hunaid Dollar contributed $250 each.
4. Anonymous, $200
5. Jonathan Nutt and Sharon Berliner contributed $100 each.

The next campaign finance report deadline is Oct. 31, or eight days before the election.
